Online Learning

We offer an online, self-paced Brain-Based EQ for Kids! Workshop that consists of 10 Units and 22 Lessons for kids ages 7-12 years of age. This course is approximately 100 minutes.

Children will be able to reinforce EQ concepts through our Brain-Based EQ digital workbook, take quizzes, play games, and do the activities and experiments from their home. There is also an option to reinforce concepts with live EQ coaching after each lesson. The coaching sessions help children apply the concrete strategies that they have learned to their own lives.

Pre-School & School EQ Workshops

We offer our unique Brain-Based EQ workshops to preschools and elementary schools. Using our Brain-Based EQ workbooks, children learn concrete EQ strategies and engage in fun experiments, activities, and games. After the workshops, students learn to:

  • Identify their emotions so that they will express themselves in healthy ways.
  • Regulate their emotions, so that they know how to navigate difficult or stressful situations in their lives.
  • Be self-motivated, so they want to achieve specific goals in their lives.
  • Develop empathy so they can have meaningful relationships in their lives.
  • Engage in social skills so that they can interact and communicate with others in positive ways.

Our Brain-Based EQ program was piloted at John Green Elementary in the Dublin Unified School District in Kindergarten and 5th grade. This program was also implemented at Crescent Elementary, Anaheim Hills Elementary, Imperial Elementary in the Orange Unified School District.

Parenting Workshops

We offer a range of Parenting Workshops. After our parenting workshops, parents will be able to:

  • Identify the 4 Parenting styles and child outcomes associated with each style.
  • Learn how to implement the parenting style that leads to the best academic, social, and emotional outcomes for children in the U.S.
  • Understand how family-of-origin and culture influence parenting behavior, socialization goals, and outcomes.
  • Meet the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and adolescents.
  • Learn effective parenting strategies and connect with community resources that help parents address contemporary parenting stressors such as parenting stress, parental differential treatment (PDT), divorce, blended families, and caregiving responsibilities for sandwich generation parents.

We have worked with Guidepost Montessori to provide a variety of parenting workshops to preschool parents. We have also worked with the Hindu Community Institute (HCI) to discuss the challenges of the sandwich generation (i.e. pav bhaji generation). We also collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and non-profits to provide free parenting webinars to our community.

What Our Families are Saying

“My daughter Aliya looked forward to this class every week! Dr. Shah did a great job of having the kids learn interesting topics (e.g., subconscious mind) and do interactive, hands-on activities for each class session. This class has helped her develop life-long skills! She now understands why it’s important to get a snack when she is hungry and has a cool-down routine in place for when she gets upset! She is also motivated to pursue her goals because of her vision board”

I am so glad I had my son enrolled in this class! I am amazed at how quickly he absorbed the concepts that were taught and re-enforced through the various games and activities in class. After only the first few classes, I clearly noticed a change in his coping and communication skills. He was able to identify and communicate his feelings better, and had shorter and less severe meltdowns. I couldn’t believe that a few classes could make such a difference!

Dr. Shah- What you have taught them is very powerful, which will help them throughout their life. Thank you for what you do — for making a difference in children’s lives
